With cognitive impairment, devices such as cellphones and laptop computers become difficult to use. A senior might say that they are finding a technology difficult to use rather than admitting a memory issue. However recognising the underlying issue leads to knowing how to manage a transition away from technology.
Some tips of how to manage this transition are:
1. Deleting apps that are frustrating
2. Counsel a senior who may be approached by email fraudsters
3. Use remote access programs to help manage their computer
4. Stored value credit cards may limit spending
