A dedicated area of cemeteries and memorial parks set aside for scattering loved one's cremated remains. If you have cremated remains or inherited an urn with the remains of a loved one, contact your local cemeteries or memorial park for more information and costs.
Below is a list of options for scattering cremated remains in Washington.
- National parks, after receiving permission.
- State trust uplands, after obtaining permission from the appropriate Department of Natural Resources region manager.
- Public navigable waters under state control.
- The Pacific Ocean beyond the mean lower low water mark.
- Private land, with the permission of the land owner.
