Activities of daily living

Activities related to the care for and moving of the body, including walking, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and eating.

Assessment

A professional medical overview that covers areas such as medication, behavior, needs, activity preferences, and daily routines.

Adult day services

Community-based centers include comprehensive programs to provide social and support services in a protective setting during any part of a day.
Not 24-hour care. 

Disclosure of services form

The form must be provided to residents, their representative if any, and interested consumers upon request. It is required to inform consumers (1) the scope of care and services offered and their cost; (2) activities not covered by the community per diem rate or applicable publish benefit programs; (3) community operation rules required by regulation; and finally (4) information that residents or their legal representative can independently arrange for outside services.

Respite center

Short-term relief for caregivers either in the home or at a center (a few hours up to a few weeks).

Nursing care

24/7 supervision by a nurse within a home focused on assisting those with regular needs.
