What is a Durable Power of Attorney
Durable Power of Attorney
A power of attorney document lets you choose a trusted friend or relative to help you with your finances and health care decisions. I had some ask me how long do these documents remain valid? In Washington state, these documents last indefinitely, but we recommend that people review them every 3 to 5 years. Check out the links below to review and download copies of these documents to begin the conversation or ask your elder law attorney or wealth manager for a packet at your next meeting.
Support for your parents.
