Accepting your parent is aging
It can be difficult to see your once vibrant parent slowly aging. It is sometimes easier to convince yourself that your parent is doing fine living by themselves, and that them refusing help is your job done. However it should be recognized that the parent sometimes does not want to be a burden. There needs to be recognition that you may need to have frank discussions with your parent.
